Product Description
Powell prism (laser linear generator lens) can convert collimated beam into uniformly distributed linear beam. Different from the Gaussian beam produced by cylindrical lens, the Powell prism can redistribute the optical power of the incident collimated Gaussian beam and fan it out into a linear beam with uniform energy. The entrance surface of Powell prism is aspheric, and the exit surface is flat, all of which are coated with antireflection films of 400nm-700nm, and the average reflectivity of each surface is less than 1%.
Powell prism is very sensitive to the size of incident light spot. The designed incident light spot of GCL series prism is 1mm. If it is larger than 1mm, bright spots will appear at both ends of the outgoing linear beam, and if it is smaller than 1 mm, the middle will be bright and the two ends will be dark. For the incident light at 633nm, the intensity difference is less than 20% and the straightness is less than 0.1% in the 80% center line range. For other requirements of incident spot size and shape size parameters, please contact customer service.
Powell prism can be used for calibration, shaping, scanning, detection and machine vision.
